Jim has been a full-time commercial real estate agent
since 1982. He is a founding Partner of
CHAPMAN LINDSEY, which began in January of 1990. Prior to that, he was a 'top five' producer
for Coldwell Banker (now CBRE), and a sales associate at Land West Realty and
Best Commercial Real Estate.
Together, with his two Partners, CHAPMAN LINDSEY has
closed more than 650 million dollars in transactions, involving residential,
apartment, commercial, and investment land; and apartment and office
buildings. He has extensive experience dealing with
private Investors as well as Institutions and Commercial Banks.
Jim has served as a consultant and/or exclusively
represented: The University of Arizona, Arizona Attorney General, Citibank
(Arizona), Wells Fargo (formerly First Interstate Bank of Ariaona), Chase Bank
(formerly Bank one), Marshall & IIsley Trust Company, Washington Federal
Savings and Loan, BBVA (formerly Compass Bank), Commerce Bank of Arizona, City
of Tucson, and Pima County.
He received his BA in Marketing in 1979 from the
University of Arizona. Jim holds the CCIM designation and is a Past-President
of the Southern Arizona CCIM Chapter. He
is the founder of the annual Pima County Commercial Real Estate Forecast
Competition which has been held annually for the past 24 years. This seminar
format is now used by CCIM Chapters across the nation.
Jim is a past the Chairman of the Pima County Real Estate
Research Council and continues to be an active member of the Board.. He is also past Chairman of the Professional
Standards Committee for the Arizona Associations of Realtors and continues to
chair Ethics and Arbitration Panels for the State Association. He also serves on the Pima County Acquisition
Commission.
